The Historic Home of Leslie Peltier of Delphos, OH
Leslie Peltier, born in 1900, was a renowned American amateur astronomer hailing from Delphos, Ohio. He was celebrated for his remarkable contributions to astronomy, which he largely conducted from his home. Known as the “World’s Greatest Non-professional Astronomer”, Peltier was credited with the discovery of numerous comets and variable stars. This was the site where Peltier conducted his many groundbreaking astronomical observations and, therefore, could be recognized as a local landmark.
